Mathieu Matégot model Kangaroo coffee tables
The coffee table model Kangaroo was designed in 1954 by Mathieu Matégot and is issued by GUBI. Is is characterized by its design in Rigitulle, an assembly of perforated sheet metal and metal tubes, that Matégot invented a few years earlier. It is made of two small tables, the smallest is interlocked in the largest. When the tables are nested inside, the light passes through, reflecting half-moon shadows on the ground below, when they are separated, two full moons are reflected. Several color combinations available.
Designed by Mathieu Matégot in 1954 and re introduced by Gubi.
it is made from powder coated performed aluminium, a technique
that Matégot invented a few years earlier and named it Rigitulle
and became his trade mark.
